Feb 27: Recording of fraud from "your financial department"

This nameless recording from "your financial department" called Feb 7 and Feb 27.

"Hi. This is a courtesy call from your financial department. And after reviewing your recent payment history, we do have a lender that can approve you for the one percent interest rate on the thirty year loan. Please press one now to speak with your financial department. Or press three to be removed."

Obviously fraud. What does "your financial department" mean? Obviously, they're trying to deceive people.

Feb 23: Recording of "this is your scheduled courtesy reminder call" fraud

This recording has called Feb 23.

"Hello. This is your scheduled courtesy reminder call. Our records indicate that your current adjustable rate mortgage is scheduled to increase. If you would like to stop your payment increase at this time, please press one to be transferred directly to a live mortgage specialist. This call may be monitored or recorded for quality control purposes. To remove this number from the caller reminder service please press two. Thank you."

Their records are wrong. They don't identify themselves, so they are probably a scam. They call themselves a "reminder service", which means they are dishonest, and probably a scam.

Feb 23: San Jose Mercury News Telemarketer

These telemarketers called Nov 9, 16 in 2005 and Jan 24, 25 and Feb 22 and Feb 23. They also called numerous times previously. They probably called a bunch of times and hung up on my answering machine also.

I said I wasn't interested twice. I was about to say that I got a call from them yesterday, but she hung up.

Feb 22: Recording of Cathy with LDCC

This recording has called Sep 15 in 2005, May 17, and Jun 22 in 2006 and Feb 22.

"Hi. This is Cathy with LDCC at 877-348-2347. Uh. I've been trying to reach you, but I guess I'll just go ahead and leave you a message. I wanted to let you know that because you make your mortgage payments on time, you've been preapproved for our one time mortgage rate reduction program. And with this program, you can reduce your mortgage interest rate, and possibly pull cash out to pay off your car, or high-interest credit card. Uh, but tell you what, I will be in until 8pm tonight, so give me a call when you get in at 877-348-2347, and reference your customer code, which is, let me see, 000000, and I can let you know what rate we can drop your mortgage to, and how much cash we can put in your pocket. Thanks. I'm looking forward to hearing from you. Buh-bye."

What a fraud.

Feb 22: Recording of "This is a public service message from the national health care association"

This recording has called Feb 7, 15 and Feb 22.

"This is a public service message from the national health care association. We have found a health care program for as low as three dollars a day. This complete medical benefits program includes unlimited hospitalization, doctor visits, and hearing benefits. Plus, people who call today will receive free dental benefits, free vision benefits, and generic prescription copay card for the entire family. At no additional fee. To speak to a health care specialist, please press one now. Again, to speak to a health care specialist, press one now. And your family can have this complete medical benefits savings program. Or, if you'd like to be removed from our call list, press two. Thank you. And have a great day."

It looks like they're calling every week. Fucking jerks.

Feb 22: San Jose Mercury News Telemarketer

These telemarketers called Nov 9, 16 in 2005 and Jan 24, 25 and Feb 22. They also called numerous times previously. They probably called a bunch of times and hung up on my answering machine also.

I said I wasn't interested three times.

Feb 20: Recording of Davey from "Satellite TV Services"

The recording of Davey from Satellite TV Services, the satellite TV company called Feb 20. The recording of Jerry with Dish called Sep 19, 21, Oct 17, Nov 2, 28 and Dec 20 in 2006 and Jan 19 and Feb 9. The fraudulent recording of "Mary Roberts" from "satellite TV" has called Aug 3, Aug 7, Dec 15, 19, 21 and Dec 27 in 2006 and Jan 4, 9 and Jan 17. The fraudulent recording of "home ownership has its privileges" has called Jan 10. The recording of Brian from Dish called Nov 13, 15, 27, Dec 6 and Dec 11 in 2006. The recording of Lisa with Dish called Aug 3, 7, 14, 16, Sep 22 and Oct 21 in 2006. A fraudulent recording of Brian from "the satellite TV company" called Nov 21 in 2006.

"Hey it's Davey with Satellite TV Services, the satellite TV company? Straight to the point. Free Tivo receiver. Free movie channels. All of your local channels. Your sports, news, kids, and specialty programs, and channels. And of course our free Tivo receiver. It's awesome technology. If you don't know much about it press one now and our reps will tell you about it. Again, you're gonna get free movie channels, a free Tivo receiver, and all of your local channels, sports, news, kids, and specialty programs. Just press one on your phone now to speak with a satellite TV representative. Again, press one on your phone now. Press nine if you'd like to be removed from our list."

The wording is very similar to the recorded telemarketer calls from Dish, so they're doing some deceptive thing with different names. This "Satellite TV Services" name borders on fraud if it is indeed the same as Dish.

Feb 20: Recording of "Carrie Jones" with fraud for the "Promotion Notification Center" aka "Travel Pros"

This recording called Oct 10, 17, 31, Nov 9 and Nov 29 in 2006 and Jan 4, 11, Feb 12 and Feb 20.

"Hi. This is Carrie Jones from the Promotion Notification Center. Congratulations. You have been preselected to receive a complimentary promotional trip to Honolulu Hawaii. Your Hawaiian vacation includes round-trip airfare, as well as hotel accomodations. To claim your vacation, please press the number one key now. Or press three to be removed from the marketing list."

The last time this recording called, a week ago, I pressed one and had to deal with a hostile telemarketer for "Travel Pros" that said she removed my phone number from their database. Obviously, she's a liar and "Travel Pros" or the "Promotional Notification Center" is a fraud and a scam. That telemarketer refused to give an address for the business, refused to give a phone number for the business, and refused to say what they had in addition to phone numbers in their database.

Feb 19: Recording of fraud from "Rachel" at "cardholder services"

Fraudulent recordings of Rachel at "cardholder services" called Sep 15, Oct 4, Nov 16, Dec 19 in 2005, Jan 3, Feb 1, Feb 7, twice on Mar 2, Apr 7, Apr 10, May 1, May 23, May 25, Jun 29, Jul 11, Aug 18, Aug 21, Sep 22, Oct 23, Dec 6 in 2006 and at work on Dec 2, Dec 30 in 2005, Mar 7, and Jun 20 in 2006 and Jan 3 and Feb 19. The fraudulent recording of Heather at "account services" called May 1 and Jul 28 in 2006 and Jan 3. Fraudulent recordings of Michelle with cardholder services have called Sep 5, 15 and Nov 29 in 2006. The fraudulent sounding recording of Michael called Nov 18 in 2005.

"Hello. This is Rachel at "cardholder services"? Calling in reference to your current credit card account. There are no problems currently with your account however it is URgent that you contact us concerning your eligibility for lowering your interest rate. To as little as six point nine percent. To qualify, you must be at least two thousand five hundred dollars in debt. Our new program is designed to get you out of debt fast and hassle free. Your eligibility expires shortly, so please consider this your final notice. Please press the number ONE on your phone NOW to speak with a live operator and lower your interest rate. Or press the number three to discontinue further notices. Thank you."

What is this "eligibility expires shortly" while calling over a year and a half? I think this is a new recording with essentially identical wording except for the "to qualify, you must be" bullshit added. Why won't people stop falling for that scam so that they'll shut down and stop calling me?

Feb 15: Recording of "This is a public service message from the national health care association"

This recording has called Feb 7 and Feb 15.

I want to let you know that I have a lender that wants to preapprove at one point two five percent on a thirty year loan. Good or bad credit, refi, or cash out. This loan would save you up to... what I can see is about forty-five percent on your monthly payment. Please press one"

Then it hung up abruptly.

Feb 13: Recording of a scam saying "This is a call from our county records research department"

"Hi. This is Keri with the mortgage department. And this is a message that your current lender does not want you to hear. We are the only lender in your state. That can offer you one hunnert percent financing. And rates starting at one percent. And absolutely no points. Regardless of credit history, late payments, bankruptcies, or even if another lender has turned you down, we can still finance you up to one hundred percent. To speak with a mortgage consultant and receive your free credit report, press the number one key now. Or press three to be removed from the marketing list."

Monday, February 12, 2007

Feb 12: Recording of "Carrie Jones" with fraud for "Travel Pros"

I think it's the same recording that called Oct 10, 17, 31, Nov 9 and Nov 29 in 2006.

I pressed one. The person answering said they were called "Travel Pros". She refused to give an address. She refused to give a phone number. She asked if I wanted my number removed from their database. She refused to say what else was in the database. She refused to say how my number got in the database.

If they aren't willing to provide an address or a phone number for their business, they're probably a scam and not a legitimate business.

Saturday, February 10, 2007

Feb 10: Telemarketer from Countrywide

Recordings from Countrywide called Jul 10 and Aug 15 in 2006.

Perhaps it was the Countrywide telemarketer that was calling those other times this morning when there was nobody on the phone when I answered, and hung up on the answering machine when I didn't answer. It should be no surprise that I'm not going to be in a charitable mood when we do talk. Fucking morons.

"Hello. This is a courtesy call from your financial department. After reviewing your recent payment history, we do have a lender that can approve you for the one percent interest rate on the thirty year loan. Please press one to speak with your financial department. Or press three to be removed."

This sounds like a scam. What is "your financial department" other than a fraud?

It appears you've been paying too much every month and our department has been authorized to reduce your monthly payment. We've also been authorized to offer you up to one hundred thousand dollars cash out for any reason at all. You can use it to pay off your car. Wow wouldn't it be great to eliminate that payment. "Press one now."

"Please press one now."

"Buh-bye."

Feb 1: "Phillip" from "Global Bank"

He sounded foreign. There was a bunch of telemarketer background noise.

I said I wasn't interested five times. When he asked why I wasn't interested, I said I thought it was a scam four times.

He said something about me being a customer. I asked when I became a customer of "Global Bank", since I had never heard of "Global Bank" before. I couldn't follow his answer very well.

Finally, he said he'd do something that I didn't catch. I yelled "Don't do anything" as he hung up. I fucking hope my finances don't get fucked over because some fucking scammers got my phone number and who knows what other information about me.

This is a reminder of why I haven't been answering the phone. There are just too many fucking scammers calling.

Jan 31: Recording of fraud saying "This is an announcement from ABS Health Services"

This recording from "ABS Health Services" has called Jan 31. An almost identical recording from "A and L Health Services" called Jan 25.

"This is an announcement from ABS Health Services. You may now QUAlify for health care BEnefits, regardless of medical conditions. Is it "ABS Health Services" or "A and L Health Services"? My guess is that they change their name because they are a scam.
