Spread the word... My search indicated that this new number, (303) 217-1074 is being provided by a company called, MCI Metro Access Transmission Services whose d/b/a is Verizon Access Transmission Services (AKA: Verizon Business). I have filed complaints with the FTC several times, and did so again after getting 2 calls from this number, but this time, I decided to contact the provider of the number, after getting the full voicemail box notice for "Mike Anderson".

After calling Verizon's regular customer service number, I was directed to the Verizon Unlawful Call Center, which apparently is dedicated to these types of issues (link below). Unfortunately, I was 2 minutes too late (they close at 5pm), but I will definitely try again during regular business hours and suggest you do the same.

If you want to establish a case, call the Verizon Unlawful Call Center at
1-800-257-2969, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. with your complaint number to open a case.

Many thanks Anonymous. I called The Verizon Unlawful Call Center as you helpfully suggested and while they were very sympathetic they said that there was very little that they could do to stop these calls. They gave me the contact details for the FTC and i will definitely follow up. According to various sources on the Internet this particular scam has been going for years so i am not confident that the FTC will act but guess we have to make the effort. It's really hard to believe that the FTC could be so impotent in what is a well documented scam such as this. Washington DC

I just got off the phone with these lovely people, having BS'd my way into actually being permitted to talk to a "senior account representative" by feeding the sale rep a fake credit card number (google "Graham king credit card numbers" to find a page of randomly-generated invalid numbers with valid CC-number format. Use with any random card exp. date and fake name).

The "details" of their offer are that they're going to charge $600 to your credit card, based on the promise of saving you at least $1,200 in interest, by allegedly lowering your interest rates to some absurd amount like 0.9%. So, $600 up front, but "savings eternal". Yeah right.

Having BS'd the rep into thinking he was about to close the sale, I asked him for the company information...and he gave it to me! LOL.

If you need a name behind Cardholder Services, the name is Robert Pitsker, the president of the company. And how do I know that? Because he’s already been cited by the FCC for his company’s illegal actions. Cited 5 years ago (March 5, 2007). That shows how toothless the FCC is. You can find the citation (and an address) on the FCC website.

If the Republicans are serious about closing down useless federal agencies, I would suggest the FCC for that list. I’ve sent a half dozen complaints to them, reminding them in each case that this company has already been cited and continues to violate the law. Not only have I been on the Federal Do-Not-Call registry since it’s creation, I have NEVER owned a credit card. So there is no reason why this company should be calling me.

I will continue to embarrass the Do-Not-Call Registry and FCC by inundating them with complaints every time Cardholder Services calls me. And I will start keeping copies of my complaints to send to my Congressmen in hopes of them forcing the FCC to do it’s job. And since the FTC just announced a new anti-robocall campaign, I'll be looking for a complaint form from their website as well.

I get the "Rachel at Cardholder Services" phone call several times a week, each time from a different phone number. Recent calls include 303 and 406 area codes.

Perhaps they hire people to work from home, thus providing them with scattered locations so that it is harder to close down the operation. (Just my speculation).
