May 20: Recording of "this is the second notice" vehicle warranty scam

Woman's voice: "This is the second notice that a factory warranty on your vehicle has expired, and should be reactivated to protect you against the high cost of repairs. If you have not responded to this notification, it is not too late. Please do not make the mistake of driving without a warranty. You are still eligible to reactivate your warranty coverage. This is the final call before we close your file. Press two to be removed from the list. Press one to speak with a representative now about your warranty coverage."

"Final call"? What a lie.

"National Warranty Auto Sales" seems to mean Continental Warranty and MCG Enterprises. Slimy:

As one employee notes on the ripoffreport page, they are an LA Better Business Bureau member, and more or less in good standing:

The bottom line seems to be that although sometimes they're slow to pay off, they're just another car insurance company, not mobsters, and their rates are pretty good. Total spammers, though.

Also, I could be wrong-- although one poster mentions National Warranty Auto Sales, others claim it's Automotive Warranty, or Great Atlantic Warranty, and based in Boca Raton, Florida rather than Los Angeles, California. This might be a network of paper companies that are all controlled by the same person or the same partners.
