Another stupid machine

When I picked up the phone, there was a click. Then, after about seven seconds, it hung up.

Then, a half hour later, another telemarketer called. I said hello. The telemarketer said hello. Then, after a second, he tapped some keys noisily and asked if anyone was there. He hung up before I could say yes.
